Emergency Demolition: Hard Rock Hotel Construction Site Cranes Brought Down by D.H. Griffin Wrecking

 Where: New Orleans, La.
 When: October 2019

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, there was a collapse of a portion of the Hard Rock Hotel under construction at the corner of Canal and Rampart streets in downtown New Orleans.

D.H. Griffin Demolition officials were among those brought in to determine a course of action and then to follow through. The first step was the explosive demolition of the unstable cranes at the construction site which was completed on Sunday, Oct 20, 2019.

DHG officials worked with state and local officials and on-site companies to determine additional action steps.
